EggLogger LOGGING SYSTEM FOR BIRD BREEDERS

Handling the logger

The EggLogger is a small printed circuit board (PCB) with small electronic components soldered on it. These components are very sensitive to static electricity. The EggLogger is delivered in a re-sealable small metallic-grey anti-static storage bag. In this bag, the EggLogger device is safe to static electricity. When removed from the bag, always "ground" your self, the bag and the working table. This makes sure that any excess electricity on your body, on the bag itself or on the table flows away. If you hand-over the EggLogger to another person, first make physical contact with the other person or make the other person ground himself as well. After using the EggLogger, store it in the anti-static bag.

Storage

After using the EggLogger, it can best be stored in the anti-static bag. If the EggLogger will not be used for a longer time (more than a few days), remove the battery to preserve battery capacity. The battery was delivered in a re-sealable small plastic bag. It is best to store the battery in this bag as it prevents the battery from discharging by contact with conducting materials. If the EggLogger is connected to the USB-interface and the computer is switched-off, the battery of the EggLogger may discharge more rapidly. Therefore, if you switch-off the computer, also disconnect the EggLogger from the USB-interface.
